We know what it's like to live with squirrels...
A home for neurodivergent squirrels... I mean humans...
In Wales. And worldwide. ADHD can feel very much like living with a brain full of squirrels. Cute and energetic as they can be, they definitely chew up the wiring. But you are not alone. We get everywhere... We're out there doing all the things everyone else does, from studying to working to loving to living. This site is a work in progress, like life, to find resources for adult ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergences. Meet Halo, the creator of With Squirrels, here. |
A mutually supportive space for squirrels, and friends. For neurodivergent people, by neurodivergent people. Well, currently mostly by one neurodivergent person, but I'm working on it. Everything is better with friends!
Even if you're not a squirrel. Resources for autistic adults, our dys-family cousins, and other neurokin are all incoming. |
For an online conference, for and by folk with ADHD, check out Camp ADHD... returning in 2022...

This is and always will be a work in progress.
ADHD strengths include brilliant ideas, excitable starts, and a desire to share... as such, we work with those strengths, and present creation, not perfection. Thank you for your understanding if things aren't perfect.
We hope this helps you remember it's ok for you to not be perfect, too. |
Regardless of presentation... we're all awesome.
And in case you were wondering; this is a "self-diagnosis" accepting space - if you're pretty sure that you live with squirrels too but don't have an official diagnosis (yet) you are welcome here.
It is worth getting an assessment if you can as sometimes other things look very much like ADHD and are worth treating, and you can get more support for ADHD if you have a diagnosis, but diagnosis isn't always possible (or desired) due to factors including resources, bias/racism/sexism, or even being too squirrelly to manage the process!
So if our little nest feels like home, you're welcome to join us regardless.
